A Mentor & Friend

I first met Nate when I was 10 years old. It was 1995 and Nate was 18 years old, just starting his first college internship at my home course in Connecticut. I had been playing golf for about five years but had never had a formal lesson, so when my Father connected with Nate at the course he recognized the opportunity for me to take a lesson and for Nate to test out his golf instruction. Even though I couldn’t fully appreciate it at 10 years old, those early lessons were about more than just golf. Nate truly became a mentor and friend. He is one of the most genuine people you will ever meet, and that sincerity carries through to his approach to golf instruction. Nate will match your level of commitment, pushing you to meet the goals you personally set. It’s up to each individual to determine how much work they’re willing to put in , and Nate will be there to support and challenge you for the duration of your relationship. At the end of the day, golf should still be fun. I went on to play competitively at Colgate University and always kept those early lessons in mind. More important than the golf lessons, Nate and his family have become a part of my family. Even after his family relocated to Pennsylvania from Connecticut, we remained in touch and would speak frequently. Golf always kept us connected despite the distance. Annual golf trips became a tradition, and as Nate’s son Caden became fully committed to golf, he started to join us. I have gotten to know Caden and have bonded over our mutual approach to the game. I even had the opportunity to caddy for him as he became competitive in state and national tournaments. A highlight to date was caddying for Caden as he medaled in a local USGA Junior Amateur qualifier and then played in the the event in South Carolina. Thirty years later, I am so grateful to have met Nate and to see our relationship come full circle, allowing me to play a part in Caden’s golf journey. Golf really is a game that can teach you valuable life lessons and build lifelong friendships. Nate embodies this spirit, and I am honored to have him as one of my closest friends

Lasting Impact

I started playing golf when I was 7 years old. Shortly after, I joined Nate’s junior program, where I made lifelong friendships and developed a deep appreciation for the game. A significant part of this journey was my experience with Nate as my coach. I have known Nate for several years, and I cannot speak highly enough of his dedication to my success and his passion for the game. Nate has been a steadfast supporter, guiding me towards achieving my dreams. His tireless dedication and encouragement have been instrumental in helping me reach my goals of playing golf at the NCAA Division 1 level. Beyond being a coach, Nate has imparted countless life lessons that I will carry with me always

Grandpa’s Gratitude

I want to thank Nate for all of his efforts with my grandson, along with many other boys and girls over the past several years. My grandson enjoyed several years of his many weeks, and even months of learning to play golf, and learning to communicate with other kids and adults. I was impressed with the way he can talk kids off the cliff when they had a bad day of golf. He is an expert at the psychological part of golf, as well as the mental part of golf. I was also amazed at how the kids learned golf etiquette, along with how to communicate and how to respect others. As I observed how you interact with the kids, I ultimately realized how you had a positive impact on me, and the other parents and grandparents. I really appreciate the fact that you sometimes asked me, as a 70-year-old to get involved with working with the young kids as they played practice rounds over their nine holes. I sincerely appreciated the opportunity to interact with you over the past several years. Thank you!

More Than a Coach

In my nearly 5 years of knowing Nate, it has been nothing short of an absolute pleasure. I say this regarding both our Coach/Student relationship and the friendship that has cultivated over our half-decade of knowing each other. Nate’s genuine care and desire for his students, like myself, to succeed in all aspects of our lives stretches far beyond that of 99% of people in my life. His constant messages making sure that I am doing well in school, along with making sure that my golf swing is still on plane, never fail to warm my heart.

His coaching style and abilities are every bit as world-class too. Nate has seen my golf swing at its lowest of lows and highest of highs, yet he has always been ready for a solution to get me to where I need to be. His coaching has led me to break my high school’s all-time scoring record, multiple section scoring average titles, and being crowned the District 3 individual winner my senior year. With all of this being said, Nate and I both know that there is more to be done, and I am more than eager to see what we are able to accomplish in the upcoming years as I begin my tenure golfing for Lebanon Valley College.

As much as Nate is my coach, he is also a dear friend that I know I can rely on at any hour of the day. Supporting him or his family is something I am always happy to do because of how well they all treat me.

I cannot recommend Nate enough, as he will cure your golf swing while also establishing a true and one-of-a-kind Student/Coach relationship that no other coach will be able to replicate.
